Cape Breton Fiddlers Run Learn To Run Programs Kick Off
The Cape Breton Fiddlers Run, Learn to Run program will be kicking off next week. This year the program will be offered in two communities, North Sydney and Sydney.
“This is the second year the Fiddlers Run Learn to Run program will be offered outside of Sydney,” says George Jessen, Fiddlers Run Race Director. “Last year the Fiddlers Run offered a Learn to Run in New Waterford, which saw over 100 participants complete the program.”
Over the course of the eight-week Learn to Run program, participants follow a walk/run schedule and eventually work their way up to running a 5km distance. In addition to the weekly group run, physicians, dietitians, physiotherapists and other experts visit to discuss everything from injury prevention to proper nutrition.
