The Cape Breton Fiddlers Run is pleased to promote cross country running in Cape Breton as part of our mission to promote physical fitness and healthy living in our community. To this end, along with the Baille Ard Recreation Association, we hosted the Baille Ard Nature Trails Junior/Senior High School Cross Country Race on Thursday, October 4^th, 2012.

The selection committee for the Lydia Dickson Award is very pleased by the strong field of candidates nominated this year from our Cape Breton community.  Each of the candidates exemplifies the values and actions that inspired Lydia Dickson and the founding members of the Cape Breton Fiddlers Run.

This weekend the Cape Breton Fiddlers Run, presented by the Sydney Credit Union, will take place and everyone is invited to join the celebration. In addition to the 5km, 10km, half-marathon, team-relay and Boston qualifying full-marathon scheduled for Sunday, September 9, a free Healthy Living Expo and a Ceilidh on the Course are also planned.

The Cape Breton Fiddlers Run, presented by the Sydney Credit Union, is looking for nominations for the 2012 Lydia Dickson Inspiration Award.  The award is presented annually at the Cape Breton Fiddlers Run, which is scheduled for Sunday, September 9.
