Fiddlers Run Route Summary:
The 2013 Fiddlers Run route for the marathon will start in Glace Bay at the Glace Bay High school, and proceed through Glace Bay, Dominion, Gardiner Mines, River Ryan, Scotchtown, New Waterford, New Victoria, South Bar, Whitney Pier, to finish north-end Sydney at Victoria Park.
Half-marathoners will start their run in New Waterford at the Colliery Lands park. They will follow the same route to the finish line in Sydney as taken by the marathoners.

Detailed Marathon and Half Route
The marathon will travel through the Town of Glace Bay (following Reserve St, Union St, Commercial Street, Duncan, Brodie, Main St, Lower and Upper North St, Stirling Rd, West Ave, Connaught Ave, leaving Connaught to enter on Main St-headed toward Dominion.
Upon entering Dominion, runners will proceed along Kings Rd to Commercial St, make a right on Mitchell Ave, and left on Seaside Dr headed toward Gardiner Mines.
Runners will pass through Gardiner Mines headed toward River Ryan, and then Scotchtown, making a right turn when they reach Ryan Street.
Runners travel along Ryan Street, and make a left at Emerald Street headed toward Heelan Street, New Waterford.
Runners travel down Heelan, and make a left where Heelan ends -headed toward New Victoria.
Runners will pass the Colliery Lands park- the starting point for the half-marathon. The starting time for the half-marathon will be approximately 9:30 (shortly after the lead marathoners pass by).
Runners will proceed along Rte 28 headed toward New Victoria.
Runners will continue along Rte 28 headed toward South Bar.
Runners will cross the South Bar highway from facing traffic, to the sidewalk at approximately kilometers west of the Daley Rd.
Runners will continue to use the sidewalk from there into Whitney Pier.
Runners will turn right at Dominion Street in Whitney Pier, and proceed down Dominion Street. They will then proceed a short distance along Matilda Street to the start of the Heritage Trail.
Runner will proceed along the Heritage Trail and exit the trail at the #5 Gate.
They will then make a left onto Inglis/Stable Dr , and turn right onto Ferry Street. They will run along Ferry Street, and make a right hand turn on George Street.
Runners will proceed along George St to Ortona, and enter Victoria Park at the northern entrance opposite the Imperial Oil tanks.
Half marathon and full marathon runners will be provided with transportation via bus, to the new start locations from Victoria Park. Parking will also be available at all start locations.
