Doctors' Nova Scotia Youth Run

Hey parents, friends and family be sure to make lots of noise by cheering on the youth runners!  Let them know you're there with signs, clapping and lots of noise making!

Run Date: Saturday, June 1, 2013

Location: The Big Fiddle, Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion, Sydney, NS

Time Start: Activities start at 9:30 a.m.

Distance: 2.1 km for elementary students; 4.2 km for junior high students

Preschool Trot: a closed loop on the Sydney Waterfront (Big Fiddle property)

Registration Fee: $10 ( t-shirt, race bib, medal and post race celebration provided)

Route: Starts at the Big Fiddle, proceeding down the Esplanade to Ortona Street, east on Ortona St. to George St., south on George St. to Dorchester St, west on Dorchester St. to the Esplanade and back to the Finish at the Big Fiddle.

Special Reminders: Streets will be closed to traffic, parking is available at Centre 200 - use the walk over as your warm up!  Also, there are a number of other special events happening after the Youth Run.  Take advantage of the Healthy Kids' Day at the YMCA of Cape Breton on Charlotte Street.  For more information, visit www.cbymca.com .

On line registration for the Youth Run will close at midnight on Thursday May 30. Late Registration is still available on Friday May 31 from 5:00-7:00pm at the YMCA. There is also Late Registration from 8:00-9:00am at the Big Fiddle.
