Schools across Cape Breton are gearing up for the
6th Annual Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run. Elementary and Junior
High students will be participating in training programs at their
schools, in preparation for the run on Saturday, June 5 at 10:00 am at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion (the Big Fiddle) in Sydney.
The run kicks off with an event for the whole family. There will
be a Tiny Tot Trot for preschool aged children. Elementary students
run a 2.1 km route, while Junior High Students run 4.2 km. Parents
and families are encouraged to come and join their children along
the way.
Onsite registration will be set up between 9:30 a.m. - 10:30a.m.
on the day of, for any child who has not registered. The $10 registration
fee includes t-shirt, race bib and medal. Limited parking is available
at the Sydney Port Authority lot north of the Joan Harriss Cruise
Pavilion.
