Schools across Cape Breton are gearing up for the 7th Annual Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run. Elementary and Junior High students will be participating in training programs at their schools, in preparation for the run on Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion (the Big Fiddle) in Sydney.
The run kicks off with an event for the whole family. There will be a Tiny Tot Trot for preschool aged children. Elementary students run a 2.1 km route, while Junior High Students run 4.2 km. Parents and families are encouraged to come and join their children along the way.
Registration: We recommend that parents/guardians register their children at least one week prior to the run to ensure that we have sufficient t-shirts for all runners. You may be able to register at your school or at the YMCA on Charlotte Street during the following times:
Friday June 3 at 5:00-7:00pm
Friday June 10 at 5:00-8:00pm
